In honor of National Photograph Month.
Michael and I met in the Spring of 1988 while working on a collaborative project in college. I was a Theater Production and Design major and Michael was in the Commercial Photography program.
I was the master of the keys for, and the master of finding all the things in the storage area for the set pieces archived by the Theater Department. (It was fun and creepy being in the storage area by yourself. The storage area was directly behind the Paramount coffee roasting facility in Lansing, so EVERYTHING smelled like very burnt coffee.)
Michael and his partner, Scott Tucker, put together a commercial photography idea and I was assigned to help them find the weird items they needed to get their project done.
